New Zealand Rugby Museum

The 'home-ground' of the New Zealand Rugby Museum in Palmerston North is changing...

Co-locating into a brand new 500m2 gallery space in the nearby Te Manawa Museum complex in time for 2011 World Cup fever, PukekoBlue has been engaged to assist the museum's redevelopment team plan a new, more interactive and engaging visitor experience.

Caring for rare rugby relics that date from before the game was introduced in this country in 1870 to the present-day, it's the oldest and arguably the first museum in the world devoted to the oval ball code.

This exciting project involves revitalising the traditional rugby museum experience, to one that blends the best memorabilia, sound and audiovisual archives with new technology and interactive exhibits - to create a stunning cultural experience that will enlighten, educate and entertain.
